my opinion of a story

Hi Mrion:that bright red flower is called Sturt's desert pea.
G'day Marion:Following is my opinion of a story of Flowers Of Blood! In those three abrigins storys i like the Flowers Of Blood most.Beacause this story is very interesting and exciting. It told us about Purlimil and Borola's love story.they love each other.they wanted to get married .But they were checked by Tirlta.so they escape to bush.however Tirlta found them and killed them.so a king in the sky saw all the story ,he killed Tirlta.then there were some blood flowers growed up in the place where they were killed.this is a trigedy .kind person dead and bad man was kiled too. but it affords for thought for ever.i like it.

The Anteater and the Turtle

Long, long ago,in the Dreamtime ,the anteater had no spines and the turtle had no shell.Turtle and Anteater lived together in the bush. They were good friends and were very happy together.

One day Aneater asked Turtle to mind her baby while she went hunting. So Anteater went into the bush while Turtle looked after Baby Anteater. Anteater was gone a long time ,and Turtle was getting very hungry. He waited longer but still Anteater did not return. Then Turtle became so hungry he had to eat something. So he ate Baby Anteater.

Not long after,Anteater returned from the bush.she looked for her baby but couldn't see it anywhere.Where 's my baby? She asked Turtle. But Turtle didn't answer.suddenly Anteater realised that Turtle had aeten her baby.Angry and heartbroken ,she ran over to a big pile of stones. She picked up stome after stone and threw them at Turtle. Some of the stones hit and stuck in his back. Then Turtle ran to get his apears and threw them at Anteater .Some of the apears hit and stuck in her back.

Today the spines are still in the anteater's back but they have become her apines. And the stones which the Anteater threw an the Turtle have stayed stuck in his back and become his shell.

Food Expo

Last Tuesday I injoyed a great expo .Befor that food expo my classmate ling and I did some work to prepar for the expo .We cooked some sweet green bean soup .We also put some pictures on all the walls in the student asociation room.We blew up some colourful balloons on and put them around the room .They looked very beautiful.
On the expo morning of the expo we displayed our soup and food on some tables .Some students, in lovely aprons ,stood behind the food tables. They sold food to the custormers. The other people sold the tickets to everone .1 dollar for 3 tickets. Many people were kind and bought our tickets to suport our volunteer activity. We were happy about it.During that time I was working outside to hand out free bags to everyone .We also asked them to join this our activity to win a prize. Many pelople liked the bags and filled the form as I requared. That day I had another important job! I had to take some pictures to record what happened at the food expo! As I took many beautful pictures .Teachers and students liked them ,so I was really happy.
Near the end of the food expo, the draw was started.Several students were very lucky and they won big prizes in the draw.
At that food expo, I'm not only did some volunteer jobs but also learned a lot of information about health.I think that the expo was significant .I really liked the day!

The Queen Victoria Building

Dear marion:I've identifyed the picture from internet.the puzzle is called QVB.that means The Queen Victoria Building .it stands in sydney city, near pit street and George street and Market street. The Queen Victoria Building, now affectionately known as the QVB, was designed by George McRae and completed in 1898.replacing the original Sydney markets on the site. Built as a monument to the long reigning monarch. The Queen Victoria Building, construction took place in dire times, as Sydney was in a severe recession. The elaborate Romanesque architecture was specially planned for the grand building so the Government could employ many out-of-work craftsmen – stonemasons, plasterers, and stained window artists - in a worthwhile project. Originally, a concert hall, coffee shops, offices, showrooms, warehouses and a wide variety of tradespeople, such as tailors, mercers, hairdressers and florists, were accommodated. Over many decades, change saw the concert hall become the city library, offices proliferate and more tenants move in, including piano tuners, palmists and clairvoyants. Drastic 'remodelling' occurred during the austere 1930s and the main occupant was the Sydney City Council. As recently as 1959 the Queen Victoria Building was threatened with demolition. As it stands now, in all its glory. It is testimony to the original vision for the building and the superb craftsmanship of the artisans who put it all back together again. The QVB fills an entire city block bound by George, Market, York and Druitt Streets. The dominant feature is the mighty centre dome, consisting of an inner glass dome and an exterior copper- sheathed dome. Glorious stained glass windows and splendid architecture endure throughout the building and an original 19th century staircase sits alongside the dome. Every detail has been faithfully restored, including arches, pillars, balustrades and the intricate tiled floors thus maintaining the integrity of the building. The visual message of Sydney's coat of arms, on the cartwheel stained glass window, is that the beehive depicts business, the sailing ship - trade, and the dolphins - the harbour. Panel 1, on the left hand side, represents the Council of the City of Sydney, and symbols of architecture, while the letters I.G.B. on panel 3, on the right, represent Ipoh Gardens Berhad, the Malaysian company who restored the QVB. The symbols are of property developers - the builders. The bottom central panel represents the heraldic symbol of a finished building and the joining of two hands denotes the fusing of two cultures. There are many interesting and charming exhibitions and attractions throughout the building, along with portraits of the Queen. There is also a letter from Queen Elizabeth II to the Citizens of Sydney to be opened and read by the Lord Mayor of Sydney in the year 2085. Outside the QVB, on Town Hall Place, facing The Town Hall are the Royal Wishing Well and Queen Victoria's statue.

floral emblem

hi marion:
How are you !i have fond the flower's name is floral emblem.Telopea speciosissima, was proclaimed the official floral emblem of New South Wales on 24 October 1962. Robert Brown (1773-1858) named the genus Telopea in 1810 from specimens collected in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney. Sir James Smith (1759-1828), a noted botanist and founder of the Linnaean Society in England, wrote in 1793: 'The most magnificent plant which the prolific soil of New Holland affords is, by common consent, both of Europeans and Natives, the Waratah. It is moreover a favourite with the latter, upon account of a rich honeyed juice which they sip from its flowers'.
