Hi Lrene:ANZAC Day is Australia and new zealand corps day.People celebrateed the day on parade on Wednesday 25 April every year.
Why is the day so special to Australians ?During the war in 1915,so many Australia nsoldiers died.And the legend of ANZAC became the proud possession of all in the AIF and most Australians. They became Australia heros.Since then,people commemorate the heros every year.

The main reason ANZAC Day became so important is because it was felt that this was when Australia became a nation. In 1915, Australia, as a nation, was only 14 years old (until 1901 it was governed by the British so when soldiers went to war before 1914, they fought under a British flag)
Not only are heroes remembered each year but everyone who took part in any war!
